Achieve an artisan quality even with store-bought mix. The secret lies in the "flavor foundation."


Recipe: Elevated Maple Pancakes (Using Mix)

Recommended Syrup: Grade A: Golden / Amber


Ingredients:

  • 200g Pancake mix

  • 1 Egg

  • 120ml Milk (or unsweetened soy milk)

  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup (added to batter)

  • 2 drops Vanilla extract


Instructions:

  • Infusion: When whisking the milk and egg, add 1 tbsp of maple syrup and the vanilla extract immediately. This infuses the maple aroma directly into the batter structure.

  • Mixing: Pour in the pancake mix and stir until just combined (no dry powder remains).

  • Cooking: Use a non-stick pan and do not use oil. This ensures the surface cooks to a uniform, restaurant-style golden brown.

  • Technique: Pour the batter from a height (approx. 20 cm) to let gravity help form a perfect circle.

  • Serving: Top with a pat of butter while hot and serve with a ramekin of maple syrup for dipping.
